Growing up as a kid I didn't have any hobbie... unless you count playing with Babie dolls and swimming.... But when I married Mike, I married into a family that does EVERYTHING! I mean Everything; from sewing, leather carving, custome wood working, cars, fishing, hunting, painting, cooking, the list literally goes on and on....
I had to find something to do when my husband was actively engaging in any number of his hobbies and let me tell you that list is also endless.... Custom carved decoys, fish, body building, leather work, hiking, sewing, downhill mountain bike riding, cars, etc. etc. I decided to start scrapbooking back in the day and found I was pretty good at it and really enjoyed it... As the kids got older however... I have found it hard to keep up and have come to realize that if I was ever caught up, I wouldn't have anything to do... LOL
This past year I have taught myself to knit with the aid of YouTube.com.... Wow! It's not just for music videos and silly stuff.... There is actually educational information on there. I found that I am pretty good at knitting as well.
This summer I found myself unemployed and decided one day to venture into the world of cake design... Of couse Ace of Cakes and Amazing Cakes has been a good tool.... but really it goes back before these shows hit the air... We have a bakery here in Seattle called "Mike's Amazing Cake's". I have had this site bookmarked for probably 10 years now...
So one day a couple of weeks ago... I decided I was going to take a stab at this cake thing.... My adventure has begun....
